Santiago Montenegro, President of Asofondos, made these remarks during the FIAP International Congress. Montenegro expressed his regret over not being able to attend this event as all presidential candidates will be participating on Friday, in Cartagena during the debate on pensions.
“We would be the first ones who want him to be here and accompany us but I am unable to know the reasons for his absence, as the best place to discuss these pension issues is this Congress,” said the president of Asofondos.
Montenegro stated that in 1998, he was running for politics with Gustavo Petro of the Historic Pact. Montenegro also said that they had a good relationship and worked well together.
