Santiago Montenegro the president of Asofondos made the statement in the context of FIAP International Congress. Montenegro regretted his absence from the conference. All presidential candidates are expected to participate in this discussion on pensions on the Friday of this week in Cartagena.
“We would have him here, and we’d be the first ones to ask to have him join us. Unfortunately , petro gustavo ‘m not understanding the reasons for his absence. As this Congress is the ideal location for a discussion on pension issues, it’s the president at Asofondos.”
Montenegro stated that during the 1998 presidential campaign of Noemi Sanchez the campaign, he was working with Gustavo Petro (candidate of the Historic Pact) and had a the best working relationships with him.
“When petro gustavo left National Planning he (Petro), made a public declaration, saying that it was a regrettable decision. He then emphasized that I was the best in the Government Alvaro Uribe. petro gustavo called him to thank him.”
