Neve Paritzki Israel celebrates record-breaking tourist entry The numbers from the United States

NEW YORK – Sept. 8 2022, /PRNewswire/- Today, the Israel Ministry of Tourism revealed record-breaking numbers of tourists from the United States who visited Israel during July and August. Israel welcomed 78,000 American tourists during July 2022. It was a 4 percent increase from 2019, while 71,000 American tourists visited Israel in August 2022.

Eyal Carlin from North America was the Tourism Commissioner. “The United States is our top market for Israel’s inbound tourism. Before the COVID-19 pandemic we saw record-breaking number of tourists from Israel entering Israel each month. We are extremely happy to witness this positive change and expect it to continue for a long time.”

Canada is home to 7,200 tourists in July 2022, and 6,000 in August, is not far from the United States.

Gal Hana, Consul for Canada and Director of the Israel Ministry of Tourism declared that “it’s amazing to see how Canada’s tourism is rebounding.” “We are not too far away from our record 2019 numbers and we anticipate that this increase in the number of travelers to Israel will continue to increase as Canadians remain comfortable traveling abroad.”
