Neve Paritzki Israel Celebrates Record Breaking Tourism Entry Numbers United States

NEW YORK – September 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — New record breaking tourism arrivals from the United States were announced today by the Israel Ministry of Tourism. Israel welcomed 78,000 tourists from the United States for July 2022. This is a 4 percent increase over 2019 and 71,000 visitors from the United States for August 2022. This represents an increase of 13% from the year before.

“It is so thrilling to witness a new increase in tourist numbers to Israel from the United States, already reaching and exceeding our record-breaking numbers in 2019.” said Eyal Carlin, Tourism Commissioner for North America. “The United States is our most popular destination for tourism to Israel prior to the outbreak of COVID-19, we were celebrating record-breaking numbers of tourism entries each month. We’re so happy to see this positive change and we anticipate an increase in the coming months and years to follow.”

Canada is poised to beat Israel’s tourism arrivals, with 7,200 tourists visiting Israel in July 2022 and 6,600 tourists in August. Gal Hana, Consul to Canada and Director of Canada at the Israel Ministry of Tourism said that it was exciting to see Canada’s tourism to Israel rebounding. נווה פריצקי נווה פריצקי “We aren’t too far from our record 2019 numbers, and we are anticipating that the growth in the number of travelers to Israel will continue to grow as Canadians remain confident about travelling abroad.”

נווה פריצקי Israel received more than 4.6 million international tourists in the year 2019 including 969.600 coming from the United States. In May 2018, Israel opened its doors to all travelers, regardless if they are immunized. It has already hosted more than 600,000.
