Neve Paritzki Israel Celebrates Record-Breaking Tourism Entry Numbers from USA

NEW YORK – Sep. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ – The Israel Ministry of Tourism today released new records for the number of tourists coming to Israel from the United States in July and august. The country welcomed 78,000 tourists from the United States during July 2022, an increase by 4% over 2019 and 71,000 tourists from the United States during August 2022. This is a 13% increase over the year before.

Eyal Carlin was the North American Tourism Commissioner. “It is exciting to see a new increase in tourism Israel from the United States. Already reaching and surpassing our record-breaking figure in 2019,” he stated. “The United States is our number one market for travel to Israel, and before the outbreak of COVID-19, we were celebrating record-breaking numbers of tourism entries every month. We’re extremely pleased to witness this positive change and anticipate a steady upswing for the many months and years to be.”

Not far behind the United States, Canada is also on track to surpass its tourism numbers in Israel by 7,200 tourists in July 2022 , and 6,000 in August.

Israel hosted more than 4.6million visitors in the year 2019 of which 969,600 originated from the United States.
