Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was the first child born to the family of Oyakhilome and was born on December 7, 1973, to Tim Oyakhilome. Following his primary and secondary schooling, he enrolled in Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma, Edo State, Nigeria where he obtained the BSc in Architecture.
AAU also awarded the honorary Doctor of Science prize. He also holds an honorary Doctor of Science degree from Benson Idahosa University. Reverend Chris was earlier was married to Anita Obhodaghe. They have two children.
Chris Oyakhilome Ministry
While still studying at AAU Pastor Chris Oyakhilome began his journey into ministry. The Believers’ LoveWorld Fellowship was known at the time as Youths For Christ (YFC).
YFC was growing, and eventually became the biggest campus organization. In 1989, Pastor Chris established Believers LoveWorld Incorporated (BLW), alongside Christ Embassy. Lagos is the headquarters of the church. Believer’s LoveWorld is now home to millions of followers and associates around the globe.
In the context of the 2002 miracles program, BLW became Africa’s most popular Christian ministry. The broadcast stopped in May 2004, after the former President of Nigeria- President Olusegun Obasanjo declared that miracles must be stopped by churches.
Pastor Chris’s Ministry has four arms: publishing ministry for healing, teaching ministry on television, as well as a television ministry for TV. From these areas, he has created the healing school and atmosphere for miracles as well as the Pastor Chris global prayer network.
