Chris Oyakhilome. Biography and the philanthropy of the president of Christ Embassy Church

Chris Oyakhilome is a Nigerian pastor, TV host and writer. He is president of Believers’ LoveWorld Incorporated, also known as Christ Embassy International.

Chris Oyakhilome Background
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was the first child born to the family of Oyakhilome, and was born the 7th of December, 1973, to Tim Oyakhilome. He attended secondary and primary school. After that, he went to Ambrose Alli University (AAU) in Ekpoma, Edo State of Nigeria in which he earned an BSc. In Architecture.

AAU also awarded him an honourary Doctor of Science. He also holds an honorary degree in divinity from Benson Idahosa University. The Reverend Chris was previously married to Anita Obhodaghe and they have two beautiful children.

Chris Oyakhilome Ministry
While still at AAU Pastor Chris Oyakhilome began his journey into ministry. The Believers’ LoveWorld Fellowship currently Believers LoveWorld Incorporated, was at that time known as Youths For Christ.

YFC expanded and was the largest church on campus. In 1989, Pastor Chris established Believers LoveWorld Incorporated (BLW), alongside Christ Embassy. Lagos is the home of the church. The Believer’s LoveWorld is home to millions of associates and followers across the world.

In 2002, during the atmosphere for miracles, BLW rose to prominence as a Christian ministry on TV in Africa. They stopped airing the program in May 2004, when the then President of Nigeria – President Olusegun Obasanjo announced that churches should cease airing miracles on TV.

Future Africa Leaders’ Foundation (FALF)
The Future Africa Leaders Foundation has been set up to research and enhance the leadership potentials Africans. The foundation identifies, celebrates and encourages young Africans who have demonstrated exemplary leadership by impacting their generation positively. They achieve this through education and empowerment of youth .

The foundation acknowledges the achievements of these young leaders by holding an award ceremonycalled The Future African Leaders Awards. This ceremony is held at the LoveWorld Convocation Arena(LCA) Billings Way Oregun Ikeja. The President of BLW – Reverend Chris Oyakhilome presents an award to the winners.

The InnerCity Mission For Children

The InnerCity Mission for children is a religious-based non-governmental Organisation (NGO). The NGO was birthed in 2005, with the intention of reaching the needy, poor, orphaned and vulnerable children who are homeless around the globe.. The foundation assists these disadvantaged children and their communities by offering sustainable and participatory interventions including child development programmes for childcare and family strengthening programs for innercity mission children school, and other programs.

Trauma Care International Foundation

The TraumaCare International Foundation was founded to improve the health and life expectancy for local communities. They also promote improved emergency response when there is an emergency or accident. The foundation’s goal is to achieve this through community-based initiatives, advocacy, health education as well as advocacy. It also supports national policies regarding trauma treatment.

Chris Oyakhilome Biography The foundation has conducted over a thousand first aid safety, emergency response training. Their track record indicates that they were able to educate thousands of students, teachers as well as law enforcement personnel caregivers, road transport workers.

Volunteer Medical Corps (VMC)
The Volunteer Medical Corps is an international christian medical outreach. It provides aid materials medical aid, relief, as well as education to refugees and internally displaced people in the affected areas.

The outreach includes paramedics, students, and Christian doctors from all over the world. These volunteers offer medical care as well as emergency assistance and long-term healthcare solutions for communities and regions that are in need.

VMC also offers health care services to communities that are not served as well as training for local health professionals. Any person whose main goal is to improve health and provide humanitarian assistance to the most in need are welcome to participate in the VMC outreach. Bible For All Nation
Bible For All Mission is an evangelical, non-profit Christian organization which is committed to the creation, distribution and global distribution of the Bible to all age groups and genders in a format and language they comprehend. Through this, the outreach helps them to learn about the Word of God and be able to experience the life-changing message that Jesus has for us.

BFAM has successfully distributed hundreds of thousands of free Rhapsody Bibles to hospitals, prisons and communities in several countries such as South Africa and Nigeria. Through a global network of bible donors and volunteers, the outreach was possible.
