Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was born December 7th 1963, in Edo State in Nigeria. He grew up in a faith-filled family with loving and dedicated parents. He was the oldest of four children born to the elder T.E Oyakhilome, one of the first pioneers of the Assemblies Of God Church in Benin City, and Angelina the matriarch of the Oyakhilome family who imprinted her faith in God’s grace upon her son at an early age.
The LoveWorld ministry is supported by all members of the family. The Reverend brother of Ken (the revered pastor of Christ Embassy Houston, Texas Church) and a member Christ Embassy Central Executive Council are his two sisters. KattyWorghiren, the director of LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry is the home of several international best-selling gospel singers.
Pastor Chris is the father of two daughters: Carissa Sharon (Charlene) and Chris. Carissa Sharon has decided to follow her father’s example of sharing the Word of God with the world Also known as CSO She is a gifted, award-winning gospel singer and part of the LoveWorld Music and Arts family.
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome attended Edo College before winning a scholarship to study architecture at Bendel State University, known now as Ambrose Ali University, where he obtained an BSc in Architecture as well as an honorary Doctor of Science award. Additionally, he holds an honorary doctorate in divinity degree from Benson Idahosa University. It was Ambrose Ali University when he received a call from God to be a priest and serving the Lord.

When he was still in university, The Man of God founded what would be one of the biggest churches in the world. He began an unassuming prayer group dubbed “Youth for Christ” which would later become the most well-known organisation of its type on campus. Under the guidance of Pastor Chris under the direction of Pastor Chris, under Pastor Chris’s direction, the LoveWorld ministry was an innovator in satellite television and Christian programming and production. LoveWorldSAT is the first Christian TV station that broadcasts from Africa all day, on free-to air networks. Today, LoveWorld stations can be found on satellite and cable TV networks around the world.
Christ Embassy has a strong presence in Pastor Chris’s home country of Nigeria, South Africa, the United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States. The ministry operates two Healing Schools based in South Africa. These schools are where Pastor Chris hosts sessions throughout the year that allow miracles to take place.
