Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was a child of faith, nurtured by a family of faith and supported by his parents. He is the elder of three sons who was born to Elder T.E Oyakhilome (one of the founders of Assemblies for God Church in Benin City) and Angelina. Angelina was the matriarch and imprinted her faith in God upon her son from the age of a child.
The entire family is engaged in the LoveWorld ministry. Reverend Ken is his brother and is the revered Pastor at Christ Embassy’s Houston Texas Church. He is also a part of the Christ Embassy Central Executive Council. KattyWorghiren is the director for the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry that houses a number of top gospel artists.
Pastor Chris is blessed with two daughters, Charlene and Carissa Sharon. Carissa Sharon, also known by CSO she has chosen to follow the example of her father by sharing the Word of God the world. She is a talented gospel singer who has won awards and is a member of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Family.
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome went to Edo College and was awarded a scholarship by Bendel State University to study architecture. He also has an honorary doctorate in divinity awarded by the Benson Idahosa University. He was at Ambrose Ali University when he received a call from God to become a minister and serving the Lord.

While still in university The Man of God began what would be the largest congregation worldwide. It began with an uninvolved group of believers called ‘Youth for Christ’. The group would eventually become the foundation of LoveWorld Incorporated and Christ Embassy, and eventually millions of followers across the globe.
Under the direction of Pastor Chris, LoveWorld became a pioneer of satellite television and Christian programming. The church operates two Healing Schools located in South Africa and Canada, where Pastor Chris organizes seasonal sessions during which the power of God is demonstrated.
Songs and Gospel Music are also an important part of the worship. Pastor Chris encourages Christ Embassy Churches to have an ensemble trained by the Loveworld Music and Arts Ministry and under the direction and direction of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, a lot of these musicians go on to have successful solo career.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, who is a fervent philanthropist founded the Chris Oyakhilome Foundation Inter (COFI) as a non-profit, nongovernmental charity that is aiming to aid communities in need and people in the poorest areas of the world.
The Man, God, has created a number of NGOs with the aim to provide vital assistance and hope. COFI has five partners that are committed to improving living standards in some of the most degraded regions.
COFI is accountable for the InnerCity Mission ICM for Children, the Volunteer Medical Corps VMC, Traumacare International Foundation TCIF, Future Africa Leaders Foundation (FALF), in addition to the Bible For All Mission. Each of these organizations works to improve the lives and health of the most vulnerable.
