Pastor Chris The Man
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was born December 7th, 1963, in Edo State in Nigeria. He was raised in a family of faith with loving, committed parents. He is the youngest son of Elder T.E Oyakhilome. Angelina, one of the pioneers at the Assemblies, of God’s Church in Benin City, as well as the matriarch of Oyakhilome’s Oyakhilome family, who imparted her divine grace in her son very early.
The LoveWorld ministry is supported by all members of the family. His brother, Reverend Ken, is the esteemed pastor of Christ Embassy’s Houston, Texas Church and an active member of Christ Embassy Central Executive Council and his sister, KattyWorghiren, is the director of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry (LMAM), which houses a variety of world-class gospel artists.
Pastor Chris has two kids, Carissa Sharon and Charlene. Carissa Sharon, who is also known by CSO, has chosen to follow in the footsteps of her father by sharing the Word of God the world. She is a gifted gospel artist, a Grammy-award winning singer and an active member of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Family.
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome began his education at Edo College. Then he was granted a scholarship to go to Bendel State University, now Ambrose Ali University. While still in university, the Man of God began what would turn out to be the biggest congregation in the world. It began with an uninvolved group of believers known as ‘Youth for Christ’. The group would later become the foundation of LoveWorld Incorporated and Christ Embassy, and eventually millions of followers around the world.
Under the direction of Pastor Chris, LoveWorld became a pioneer of satellite television and Christian programming. LOVEWORLDSAT was first Christian television station that broadcast from Africa all day long on free-to-air channels. There are LoveWorld satellite and cable television stations across the globe.
Christ Embassy has a strong presence in Pastor Chris’s homeland of Nigeria, South Africa, the United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States. The ministry operates two Healing Schools that are located in South Africa. These schools are where Pastor Chris hosts sessions throughout the year that enable miracles to take place.
Music as well as Gospel Music are also an important part of the worship. Pastor Chris supports Christ Embassy Churches and Loveworld Music and Arts Ministry choir to train. Many of the singing artists are soloists who have achieved success under Pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s guidance.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was a passionate philanthropist who founded the Chris Oyakhilome Foundation (COFI) which is a non-profit, non-governmental organization with the mission of helping the most disadvantaged people and communities in some the most impoverished regions and nations around the world.
The Man of God established NGOs to deliver vital services and bring hope to the needy, poor and uninformed. COFI has five partners who support it, each of whom are dedicated to improving the living standard in the most remote areas.
